Today 10 years ago, I lost my hero, my mentor, my pal and most of all my Dad. It still does not seem like this much time has passed, because of such a powerful human being this man was. He changed lives all over the world, by not only through his words and his charisma, but simply through the awesome gift that God gave him with his Healing Hands. Many of the new ChiropracTOR's and ChiropracTIC students did not have the honor and privilege to meet or know this humble man, yet so many are enjoying the benefits of what he recaptured to keep the Pure name of Dr. B.J. Palmer ALIVE! My Dad stood alone when so many turned the other way, when they took the easier route. He stood on a principle that kept him and his family well, without as much as a simply baby aspirin. True dedication and conviction this man had running through his veins. And to the ones that were able to share in that small moment in time with him, you KNOW the "Man in the Hat!" and KNOW where he stood. He never waivered!
Please take a look at the official (click here -->) Kale World Headquarters Commemorative Remembrance Video recollecting his life and who the 'man under the hat' truly was. This man when he spoke carried himself in a manner of dignity and authority. He walked with purity, and honesty in every step. Then if he laid his Healing Hands on you, there was no doubt that your health would change.
My dad was a man of character and integrity, and you knew it when he walked in the room. He was taken from us at 11:47am July 2, 2001. And even though his physical body is gone from our presence, his spirit still lives within many that actually knew him. Today, as I lead the Kale organization around the world, on every plane ride, truck ride, or a simple breeze that passes by, I can feel his presence and his wisdom guiding my every step to maintain the pure, un-adulterated TIC that he committed his life too, and I have committed mine. I am proud to continue his flame and never let it dim.
Dad....I LOVE YOU! You are MY HERO!!!
Your Son,
B.J.
The video was beautifully done. Definitely brought out the tears. I never met Dr. Kale, but would have loved to. The amount of people served...well, wow! I think my favorite though is the picture of the nice home and cars and then Dr. Kale eating a can of pork and beans (right?). Humble. Love it! So sorry for your loss. It is so awesome how many people he touched and those that continue to practice TIC because of him!

The one thing I think lacking in Chiropractic today is the number of giants who were true leaders for our profession in years past... people who carried Chiropractic through some of its darkest, most challenging times and never sold themselves or their profession out. Michael Kale was definitely one of those Chiropractors. I can honestly say that this video portrays a good mixture of passion, hard work, fun, and humility. A good example for all of us to follow.
