As you begin today, take a moment to check your integrity. When different circumstances arise, and they will, think to yourself are you majoring on a minor issue? Really take the time to check yourself and know that the next words that come out of your mouth or a decision you make really could be skewed by personal thought or reason. Do not let these personal thoughts get in the way. BJP told us to get ‘ourselves’ out of the way before the delivery of the ADJUSTMENT. If we major on the minors, we have not gotten ‘ourselves’ out of the equation. Therefore, we should not be delivering the procedure.
This also plays into the understanding of what is the MAJOR in the X-ray listing. If you do not take the time to study your bones, not just from a book or a plastic set, but the REAL bones that are available, and get to KNOW how the facets, surfaces, edges, processes all are formed, then how are you able to KNOW how the bones move from a listing? It is not possible. “Your hands can do no more that your mind has conceived..” ( BJP, vol xxv, pg 630) which tells us that if you have not taken the time to touch the bones that you are trying to move, and taking the time to put that into focus by studying the X-rays and obtaining the MAJOR listing, then you will be doing nothing more than pushing bones NOT delivering and ADJUSTMENT. You will have Majored on the Minor.
This concept can be put into anything that you do in life. It was once stated that When confronted with a Goliath size problem, which way do you respond: “He’s too big to hit” or like David, “He’s too big to miss?” I think David did not Major on a Minor problem. We need to take this time to redirect our thoughts to completing the task and confronting the MAJOR so we may achieve success in our REduction.
