The team brought in some real heavy hitters in the Upper Cervical Specific ChiropracTIC world to bring to light the importance of not only what we do, but HOW we do what we do. The alignment of old school with new technology was absolutely amazing to watch from a dynamic of pure passion for the central part of our human bodies, the brainstem.
The lineup of fantasTIC speakers was unparalled from the great Dr. Stan Pierce, Jr, to Drs. Lee Hardley, Julie Mayer Hunt, Bo Rochester, Chuck Woodfield and finally the awesome Dr. Dan Murphy! And that was just the FIRST DAY!!
The next day we got our day started by the eloquent Dr. Shawn Dill as he brought the undaunting, powerful truth to each of us about it is not about Unity but Legitamcy. Then we had our breakout teaching sessions which included all five ICA techniques ( Blair, Knee-Chest, NUCCA, AO, and Orthospinology ) I was able to sneak around into all five of them, and I must say that the Instructors were filled with a passion for Upper Cervical that is second to none. These TOR's were on FIRE! Then we ended the evening with Dr. Scott Rosa with an always amazing presentation of his Upper Cervical research that is simply with one word, PHENOMENOL.
The final day was started out with the Upper Cervical historical presentation from Dr. Bryan Duff who allowed us a look inside places in our history that only few have seen. After we broke out into our respected technique forums to gain more knowledge about the Upper Cervical methodolgies. The day was concluded by the awesome ChiropracTOR Dr. Eric Russell, Preseident and C.E.O. of The New Zealand Chiropractic College. What an inspiration this man showed through his vision of placing Upper Cervical ChiropracTIC on the GLOBAL map. Very Cool!!
I have been attending Upper Cervical ChiropracTIC events since I was a young child, and I must say that the Upper Cervical FUSION event was planned in a meticulous manner by a fantasTIC board created by the I.C.A. The board along with the ICA brought together many people that probably would not have been put in the same room together ever. Through the vision of not just one man, but the vision of wise men and women collectively who share in the principled vision of Upper Cervical ChiropracTIC, FUSION was formed. It will be an everlasting place through the efforts of the I.C.A. Council on Upper Cervical Care and the ones who truly want to know what Upper Cervical ChiropracTIC is, will have a place to come and get answers from the top Upper Cervical TOR's in the field today.

I was honored to be among the on-stage speaking agenda for the weekend and I began my walk with a though of the family unit of TIC. Many times we get so caught up in the hussle and bussle of the world we live in that we forget where we came from and that our Father of ChiropracTIC, Dr. B.J. Palmer, laid down some pretty serious principles for us as his TIC children to follow. And just as we teach our kids right from wrong, he left us detailed instructions that most overlook and wonder why they are not achieving the same goals as our forefathers did. If we simply pick up and read, and listen to INNATE when she speaks, they journey will be much more pleasant. What a humble experience to be a part of such a grand occasion for the uniting of the Upper Cervical World. A feat which has NEVER been done before. Thank you Upper Cervical FUSION!!
After a brief intermission, Dr. Rob Kessinger, founder of the KCUCS organization in 1998, began his instructive hour on the Atlas movement and how if we all simply understand that it is not always what we see that makes the most sense to us, but if we dig a little deeper by looking at some alternative views then we will be able to clearly visualize what the exact movement of the Atlas will be with the condyles "down the hill." Thank you for that instruction Dr. Kessinger!
Dr. Stan Pierce, Jr, son of the great Dr. Stan Pierce, Sr. of St. Petersburg, Florida, provided a tremendous insight into the world of Advanced Orthogonal through his direction and words. He led us down an insightful path that in the end opened many eyes to the Upper Cervical world through instrument adjusting and just how specific it is. Great Job Dr. Stan!
Next up was a man I had only heard about in small circles of Upper Cervical Docs talking, and really did not know exactly what to expect. But man did this cat really blow the entire audience away. Dr. Scott Rosa of Upstate New York brought the enlightment of the weekend through his vast, detailed explanation of patient pre and post Fonar Upright MRI analysis before and after an Upper Cervical Adjustment. Holy Waterfall Batman!!! This gentleman had the entire audience on the edge of their seats for over an hour and a half explaining and showing video after video of the cerbellar tonsils pulling down passed the Foramen Magnum due to a C1 misalignment. He showed how the CSF (cerebral spinal fluid) was blocked prior to an adjustment and while it was subluxated, then also showed the 'flowing like a waterfall' of CSF fluid after the adjustment was given. AMAZING! This man could have gone on for hours and I honestly believe that not a person would have moved. I look forward, along with MANY others to seeing more research like this out in the Upper Cervical circles.

Dr. Michael Lenarz took the stage next and gave us all a heartwarming story of his granddaughter and her battle to simply have her grandfather's touch so she could truly begin her life. This inspiring story left not a dry eye in the house. His inspiration to carry the "principle torch” Will be forever lit in the darkest of time. Thank you Dr. Lenarz!
Next on the agenda were the technique break-out sessions which have never been done before in such a crowd of Upper Cervical Docs. This alignment of multiple different Upper Cervical methodologies under one roof was absolutely AMAZING to watch and to know that INNATE was on FIRE as her principle was being laid down through slipping and checking from north south east and west! What a vision the ICA Council on Upper Cervical had brought to fruition.
That afternoon Dr. Bryan Duff, son of the late Dr. Stephen Duff,Sr, brought an aspect of the H.I.O. side posture work and instrumentation analysis understanding that his father and Dr. Lyle Sherman developed that is simply mouth dropping. Dr. Duff is an amazing individual, as I have personally known him most of my entire life through my father’s friendship with him. His understanding of "Pattern" work is untouchable!
Next up was Dr. Todd Hubbard of the Blair Society and his offering to the crowd made many ponder and wonder what is next. He spoke about the inner workings of research that is going on at Palmer University in Davenport, Iowa, and how we should all contribute that little nugget to help facilitate the entire Upper Cervical Profession. Dr. Hubbard you are a machine!!
The night ended with over 30 Upper Cervical Knee Chest Docs tearing up some P.F. Changs with an abundance of food, fun and fellowship. What a night of FUSION amongst the ones that was there. Thank you !!

There will be an infiltration of outside thoughts which will not align with the ChiropracTIC profession, and we must make a stand to honor and treasure what we do. Dr. Clum, my hat is off to you. Your wisdom is un-matched with all you do to preserve what is ours. Thank you!!
The remaining portion of the day was vitalized through continued Upper Cervical technique instruction, most of which I took great aspiration in sitting in on and realizing that we are all exuding our passion for the words, yet simply saying them in slightly different verbs. What an excitement for me to see the FUSION unfolding, something that Upper Cervical Specific ChiropracTIC has needed for a long time.
